Panel Beating & Dent Straightening in Romford
Panel beating is the hands-on reshaping of a dented, creased or pushed-in body panel back to its factory line. At our Collier Row workshop we work the metal with dollies, hammers and pulling equipment, then fill, prime and refinish so the repair disappears. Cars and motorcycles, insurance and private work.
We look after drivers and riders across Romford, Collier Row, Chadwell Heath, Harold Hill, Hornchurch, Ilford, Dagenham, Barking, Chigwell and the surrounding East London and Essex areas.

What's included
- Assessment of the damage and the metal behind it
- Hand and slide-hammer reshaping of steel and aluminium panels
- Shrinking and stretching to remove creases and high spots
- Filling, flatting and priming to a straight, true surface
- Colour matching and refinishing of the repaired panel
- Blending into neighbouring panels where the colour needs it
How we do it
- 1
Look at the panel
We check the damage from both sides so we know whether the panel can be worked or should be replaced.
- 2
Work the metal back
The panel is pulled and dressed back to shape, keeping as much original metal as possible.
- 3
Prepare and prime
Skim, flat and prime until the surface is straight under a guide coat.
- 4
Paint and finish
Colour matched, sprayed in the booth, then polished back for a factory-style finish.
Cars and motorcycles
Motorcycle tanks, mudguards and fairing brackets are handled with the same approach, scaled to the smaller panels. Insurance and private work are both welcome, and we offer a guarantee on the work we carry out.
FAQs
Panel Beating & Dent Straightening — your questions answered
Can a dent be beaten out or does the panel need replacing?
Most dents can be worked out if the metal is not split or badly stretched. We tell you honestly at the estimate which option gives the better finish.
Will the repaired panel look the same as the rest of the car?
Yes. The panel is refinished with a matched colour and blended where needed so the repair is not visible in daylight.
Do you work on aluminium panels?
Yes. Aluminium behaves differently to steel and is worked more gently, with heat controlled carefully.
How long does panel beating take?
It depends on the size of the damage and the paint drying stages. We give you a realistic timescale with your free estimate.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes, we offer a guarantee on the work we carry out.
Do you take insurance jobs?
Yes, we handle insurance work as well as private jobs paid directly.
